Help with assigning a MIDI FX bypass to a midi cc

Hoping someone can help me with this after looking into it for a while :-)

I’d like to assign the bypass or on/off button of a MIDI FX plugin (Transposer) that’s on one of my tracks, to a MIDI CC number.

I’d like to do this so that whenever I press my MIDI footswitch (which has an assignable cc number), it turns transpose on/off (momentarily whilst depressed) to result in a transpose of an octave up or down, of whatever I’m playing on my MIDI keyboard.

I hope this makes sense.

Hoping someone can share some advice on how to achieve this please?

Thanks!

Mark
