johnnytucats
I've built a Multi-Sampler instrument of electric guitar strums and you know how it is with guitar strums…they often start before the beat. Is there any way to have the midi note on the beat and yet have the sampler instrument "look ahead" and start playing it at the proper point? That is, have a defined point near the top of the sample that would be aligned with the beginning of the midi note?
grubmanus
Not sure about doing this within Sampler, but one workaround is to set a negative delay in the inspector for all of these strum MIDI regions. This lets you quantize all your notes / see them on the grid, but they will actually trigger earlier by whatever amount you set. Works, but again, be aware it's on a per MIDI region basis, not the instrument itself.
johnnytucats
Right. In this case each strum has a different feel to it. I'm thinking I'll just have to figure out the negative offset of each one and adjust all the different midi notes up and down the scale.
