Problems playing back Logic wavs from external drive

I have been saving wavs from Logic to a G technology, bus powered drive for about 4 years now with no problems, suddenly the drive seems to be making a clicky sound sometimes, and some sometimes the wavs are freezing up and I have to force quit.

I haven't even used half the capacity if the drive! and as I say, its only 4 years old.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thank you

Get a new external HD asap!

That's the sound of a failing HD.

All seems fine when I plug the drive directly in to the computer.

Its when I use the USB Hub that the issues start. ?

Your hard drive is defective. Get all the data that is on that drive in a safe place right away, then get a new hard drive to replace it.

Thanks David, I will get the data to another external drive I have, a powered one.

Dont have the money to buy another external drive at the moment being a musician since the virus!
