williamspiano
Today, when I booted everything up, LogicPro thinks my Yamaha Motif XF is a keyboard input, not a midi input. I have used the same connection for the past two years, but somehow it is different today. I: Logged into my machine Turned on the Motif Turned on the Roland Handdrum Opened Logic Pro 1 - Logic pro recognized signal from the Roland and produced sound 2 - Logic pro recognized some signal from the Motif - but then began resizing windows, highlighting playback loops. I have restarted all devices. I have unplugged, restarted and plugged back in all devices The motif is connected to my computer by Firewire to USB cable, going to a UBS3 Adaptor PLEASE HELP!! David Nahmani
Choose Logic Pro X > Control Surfaces > Bypass All Control Surfaces.
Makzimia
I see a red flag, can you go FireWire to usb?. I thought that wasn’t possible?. I’d be very happy if it was ( properly).
enossified
Probably he meant FW to Thunderbolt 3 using a USB-C connector. USB-C is just the connector, not the protocol. I used Apple's FW to Thunderbolt 1 adapter for 7 years with my Motif XF (since sold).
