How can I determine the optimal MIDI Clock Delay value for a specific hardware device?

I've been enjoying the added features (especially the Step Sequencer) in 10.5, but have been frustrated as to synchronizing my hardware devices with Logic Pro X.

 

Currently, I have a Synthstrom Deluge (https://synthstrom.com/product/deluge/) as well as a Novation Circuit Mono Station (https://novationmusic.com/en/circuit/circuit-mono-station) and an Arturia MicroFreak (https://www.arturia.com/products/hardware-synths/microfreak/overview).

 

I've read several threads about synchronizing external synthesizers where you are sending MIDI data to them, but what is the best approach when you are using their own internal sequencers or arpeggiators?

Are you saying they are not running in sync correctly?

Haven't tested yet (had a lot of trouble with this in Studio One.)

Can Logic be better at synchronizing with hardware on its own depending on the Clock Mode you set?

(What Clock Mode would you recommend?)

I don't have intimate knowledge of the specs of those pieces of gear, but generally, you'll be setting Logic as the master, sending MIDI clock, and setting the hardware to external MIDI clock sync.
