larrychernicoff
I'm new to Logic. I'm a composer/vibraphonist/producer, but my music tech chops are not great. I'm recording to external midi and software instrument tracks in Logic, but every time I release a note, there's a 'ping'-like tone [sounds like a logic metronome tone]. I can't figure out where there is an aftertouch setting that would stop this weirdness. It happens whether I'm playing an rturia keyboard controller or my Yamaha N1 Avant Grand piano. Any clues would be appreciated.
enossified
It's not an aftertouch problem. Aftertouch is generated while you are depressing a key, not when you release it. Best to create a simple project that demonstrates the problem and upload it here so people can take a look at it.
Solution larrychernicoff Posted August 5, 2020 Author Solution Share Posted August 5, 2020 Thanks for the quick reply. Glad to have found this forum. I should have known that aftertouch was something else. It's about note off. I found this, and it solvd the problem: There is a function within AudioMIDISetup to "Test" the setup. When that is active, you get a 'beep' via the Sytem audio out every time you release a MIDI Key. Again, many thanks.
