Adirondack
Hi, I recently purchased a new macbook pro and copied my personal logic project folder (where I keep all my work in progress) from the external drive to the new computer. Here's the thing: When I open an older logic 9 project from my external drive location, it opens and converts the files to logic x format and the file path in the audio bin is correct as you would expect. But when I try to open from the new computer hard drive, I get a message that the audio file was "not found in its expected location" and the audio bin file path does not point to the correct folder. I can't seem to change the path to the correct folder. Why would it work on one drive and not on the other? Is there a better way to move all my projects from the external drive to the new computer? triplets
Whenever you see those messages, that means the project being moved is not self contained. You should open the project on the external HD and then Consolidate so all files outside of it get copied over. Then you can drag it to a new drive and no messages should pop up. Adirondack
Thanks so much. Is there a way to consolidate all files at once or do I need the go through project by project? I have a few years of work to go through.
triplets
Logic cannot deal with many projects at the same time. Gotta go one by one. Make sure to include audio files when you consolidate or save as a new project.
