ColbyKeyz
Hi Im recording a bunch on different MIDI piano melodies in one Logic project. When I go to record my second melody, the tempo stays locked to the first. I have tried all three smart tempo options. I just want for Logic to detect the tempo of what I play and have multiple tempos across one project
David Nahmani
Make sure the tempo mode is on ADAPT. Don't try any of the two other settings. Do you have any other regions on other tracks? Do you record the different melodies on the same track in different places?
ColbyKeyz
It is on adapt. No to both your questions. Its still happening
David Nahmani
Then it sounds like you're getting the expected behavior. Once a tempo is set for a section, recording a new melody on a new track in that same section will not update the tempo. The tempo line should be orange for it to record a new tempo. If it's blue, it will not record a new tempo. If you want, feel free to detail more what you're trying to do, and adding a screenshot would help too: How to attach files to your post
