darkunicorn
Can someone check for me if in the "Library" folder that contains both Logic and Garageband libraries and plug-ins contain 3 folders inside? (Application Support, LaunchAgents, and Caches). I'm afraid I might have lost something else due to an issue with my external hard disc. Thank you! David Nahmani
Yes, your Library folders (there are multiple ones in MacOS, a root library and a user library, one for each user) should contain many more items than that. Is MacOS installed on your external disc?
darkunicorn
No, only the Logic library is installed. I mean, inside those folders there are more folders. Like inside the Application Support folder I have the Logic and Garageband folders and inside them, I have the plugins and that stuff, but the 3 I've mentioned before are like the main ones and I don't know if I'm missing something. David Nahmani
Can you tell us the exact path to the folder you're looking at?
darkunicorn
I'm talking about the Logic and Garageband library not the general Library on MacOS that has all the extensions and scripts and that stuff in case you are confused. The Logic library is not a folder called "Library" and does not contain LaunchAgents and Cache folders. Can you share the path to the folder you're looking at? darkunicorn
Yes, it's just a folder in my external hard disc called Library that I have since I chose to have the sounds library on the external hard disc. At least that what I've always thought.

darkunicorn
Is not that how my Library is supposed to look if I keep it on the external hard disc?
Solution David Nahmani Posted September 13, 2020 Solution Share Posted September 13, 2020 Yes then that's fine. It's not the Logic library folder per se but a MacOS Library folder that is created on your external when you move your Logic library there. Looks alright. PS: For next time please make sure you follow the instructions in the link I gave you to take screenshots rather than photographs: they'll be smaller in size, less strain on our servers, and easier to look at. darkunicorn
Oh okay sorry! I'll keep that in mind. Thank you so much for always being there to answer the most insignificant things
David Nahmani
No worries. What you're seeing on your external drive is actually a subset of the larger MacOS Library folder I mentioned earlier that is recreated on your external drive so that it can contain some of the items from the Apple Sound Library that Logic and GB are using.
