John Dale
In the upper left corner of my desktop you will see my downloads. When I click them on the info reads that they are version 10.5 yet when I open them in my DAW it reads that they are version 10.4. What's happening? John Dale
It worked. Thanks. Does having files on my desktop in any way slow, or interrupt, computer or software performance?
Musician-X1
Not sure what OS version your on but Catalina has a feature where you right click on the desktop and select "use stacks" and it will Organize your desktop...just putting that out there. des99
It worked. Thanks. Does having files on my desktop in any way slow, or interrupt, computer or software performance? No, not really. But it slows *you* down as it requires more time, effort and cognitive load to process that lot and locate things you're looking for, or find desktop space to put things... But some people like things organised and tidy, and others don't care so much... we're all different.

David Nahmani
It worked. Thanks. Does having files on my desktop in any way slow, or interrupt, computer or software performance? Yes, a cluttered desktop does slow down MacOS performance in my experience. John Dale
I've encountered a new problem. As I was working with my DAW on a track I notice a message that said I just lost a driver. (Sorry, but that's all I can remember about the message). Anyway So, I reloaded my original LPX 10.5 download into my Applications and when I then opened my DAW I saw what you can see when ya look at the enclosed screen shot. Please help. Thanks in advance.
