Jonathan2727
Hi, so I'm new to Logic Pro X. But I just opened a saved file to record over the tracks and now I can't select or do anything because there is a magnifying glass instead of a pointer which only zoomes if I rage click it. So its pointless in my opinion, and since I'm working with several tracks I need to be able to select them. How do I get it back to normal? Please help. des99
Choose a different tool for the left button, either from the top of the main window, or press escape and select the arrow tool.
David Nahmani
which only zoomes if I rage click it. At first I thought you meant that you were getting mad and clicking quickly and aggressively and that you ended up being able to zoom that way. Trodge
I'm having this same problem, and nothing happens when I quit LogicPro, or reboot my MacBook Pro. When I reopen my project files I still have the magnifying glass and can't do anything. What does the previous poster mean by "choose a different tool for the 'left button'?" I don't know what the left button would be. And I can't find any place in preferences to change the cursor setting.

In the Tracks view menu bar there are two tool menus, click the left one to choose your desired tool to assign to the left click:
