I recall being advised by iConnectivity's support that renaming in Auracle was better, but tbh I can't remember why -- it's one of those "set it and forget it" things. You can rename your MIDI I/O channels in Auracle under Device Routing and scroll down to "Device Port to Computer/DAW." Click on the channel to get the pencil tool and then it's easy to rename.
