JJHP3
Hi. When I use the region-based processing on an audio track, and I click preview, the cycle region that shows up is ALWAYS incorrect. Sometimes by many bars. I reset to correct cycle (what I want to preview) and it goes to the original, out of range cycle. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks for any advice, John
David Nahmani
Do you mean Selection-Based Processing? Can you share a screenshot of the wrong Cycle during preview? How to attach files to your post Also, is Preview Enables Cycle selected in the SBP window?
JJHP3
Thanks for the quick response David. Here's the screen shot from my laptop. Both cycle and solo are checked. Oddly, on my 2020 iMac, this is not a problem, but on this older laptop (same OS and LPXversions) you can see what causes the frustration. Whenever I click preview the cycle shows up elsewhere. David Nahmani
I wish you hadn't hidden the part of the Tracks area where the Cycle area is so that I can see if there's a reason for the Cycle area being there?
JJHP3
Sorry - I thought I showed both. The highlighted region "hi pitch" is the region I want to process. I thought the cycle would be that region, not some random area to the right... isn't the yellow stripe at the top the cycle region?
David Nahmani
Sorry - I thought I showed both. The highlighted region "hi pitch" is the region I want to process. I thought the cycle would be that region, not some random area to the right... isn't the yellow stripe at the top the cycle region? I understand that. But I wish the SBP window wasn't hiding the part of the Tracks area that is directly under the Cycle area. So that I could see what is there (as far as regions, potential marquee-selection or whatever else) that could have potentially triggered that behavior. There may be nothing that explains it. But then again, there may be something that explains the behavior, only I can't see what's there. If that's easier, attach your Logic project file here so that I can open it and experiment with it?
