gustafrosander
I've created controller assignments for my Akai Midimix (no commercial driver available) to controll channel volume faders, sends, mute and solo. It's been working perfectly until after I used another midi controller (Akai LPD8, with commercial driver), and now I can't get my Midimix to work again. The controller assignments have been saved, and i can access them in the expert view of the controller assignments. How can i use my controller again, or better yet, use both my controllers simultaneouslt? I'm using: Logic pro x 10.6.0 Catalina 10.15.6 All help is higly appreciated! des99
Check the incoming MIDI port those assignments are set to, and if necessary, change them to reflect the MIDI port your controller is transmitting on.
djsnake
If there are any Program or Profile switch buttons on your keyboard, know which profile you in when assigning parameters. In your case, since you already assigned, try switching between profiles on your keyboard and see if one of those work. I don't know if that's a thing on Akai Midimix but this is something I discovered recently, it's all about Midi Keyboard, no need to adjust anything just find Profile / Program switch button and try switching between all programs and find which one assigned to Logic. des99
Good idea, if your controller is ending different MIDI messages (ie switched to a different "scene", then your previous assignments won't be triggered. Worth checking...
Solution gustafrosander Posted March 21, 2021 Author Solution Share Posted March 21, 2021 I found the solution myself yesterday! i had simply missed to assign the parameters to respond to the zone of my controller (see midi input message in the attached screenshot). thanks for the replies though!
