If I update to Sierra will everything still work as usual?

I've no idea, as I don't no idae what state your computer is in or what's on it.

 

But as long as you back up your system, or install onto a second copy of it, then you can try it out, see how it works, without worrying because if it doesn't, you haven't hosed your working system in the meantime.

check with the developers (ie re pro tools, apollo interface, any other 3rd-party plugins). but going from el cap to sierra's not a big leap, and everyone eventually updates (ok, almost everyone)... and survives.

 

can you find a sierra installer? just curious. and des99 is giving you a safe route forward (something i've never done, lol...)

Cheers, I make regular back ups by Time Machine, will that do?

Apollo and Logic and my Plug ins are compatible, but I am not prepared to install them all again, I need to know they will automatically work after the update?
