JOB
Many of Logic's channel strips that used to open in the EXS now open in a limited instrument-specific plugin. So "Attitude Bass" opens in a plugin call "Bass" where you can only adjust Volume, Release, and Cutoff. All of the other options that exist in the EXS or the new Sampler aren't there. How do I get these channel strips to open in Sampler so I have full functionality? Right now I just need to dial in decay and sustain a bit on something but they're not options. Solution des99 Posted March 30, 2021 Solution Share Posted March 30, 2021 Just replace the GB plugin with the Sampler, the instrument should remain loaded and now you can tweak the extra options.
JOB
That worked. Intuitive because that would be the obvious move, but not so much because when have presets ever automatically carried over to another plugin instance? Thank you. des99
Yes, it's actually a really convenient feature of Logic. For example, if you have loaded a stereo instance of a plugin, and have tweaked the settings, you can replace it with a multi-output version to use those features, but Logic will preserve the changes you had made. In short, if the settings are compatible when you change a plugin out, Logic will preserve those settings over the change. All these sampler based instruments are the EXS24/Sampler under the hood with just a different simplified UI, and all the synth ones are simplified ES2's etc...
