El Versus
Guys how are you. I have run into another problem in logic and it is that I have applied "Flex Time" Automatic (polyphonic) on my vocal tracks which are like 10. And now I would like to correct the pitch of some of them with "Flex Pitch". But when switching to "Flex Pitch" I get a warning that the Flex Time changes will be lost if I switch to Flex Pitch. How can I use the two tools "Flex Time and Flex Pitch" without affecting the other? .

You should not have a warning when switching from Flex Time to Flex Pitch (you get a warning when switching the other way around from Flex Pitch to Flex Time). So indeed you should be able to edit in Flex Time, then switch to Flex Pitch while retaining your Flex Time edits and continue with your Flex Pitch edits. The window that comes out is (image attached) I translate it. "Do you want to reapply time quantization in "Flex Time" mode? If you switch to Flex Pitch mode, the results of temporal quantization may be different from those obtained with FLex Time, which may or may not be preferable. Click "Reapply" to reapply temporary quantization in Flex Pitch mode, Restore to use the original (recorded) time, or Cancel to continue in Flex Time mode". I give it to cancel and the "Flex Time" I did moves me radically. Ideally, both "Flex Pitch and Time" should be independent. That does not affect each other. Still not solving this. And today when trying to solve I found that the compilations of tracks when I change from "Flex Time to Pitch" does not throw me that warning. But in the other tracks that are not compilations if I get that warning every so often.
Solution David Nahmani Posted April 26, 2021 Solution Share Posted April 26, 2021 Oh ok so when you switch to Flex Pitch it uses a different algorithm for your Flex time edits. So really then the workaround is to bounce your Flex Time edits to a new audio file and apply Flex Pitch to that.

triplets
Yup, you gotta bounce in place the flex time edits first and then apply flex pitch. Or the pitch first, bounce, and then flex time.
