joemoore
Hello, I am having a nightmare with this software. Previously it has been working completely fine but today after I finished my project and wanted to save it, then bounce it to mp3 it simply refused - no error message, but equally no save window (or save as). It sometimes freezes for a few seconds each time you preform this cycle, and yet nothing is saved. I have run a full search of my Mac drive (Mac mini Late 2014, 1.4Ghz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3, macOS Big Sur v11.2.3) to check whether the file had been saved elsewhere under an untitled format - and it had been saved, as "Untitled 4" but the file size was 331Kb - far too small for the amount of audio and midi in my project. Things I have tried already (with no success): deleting preferencesdisabling "core audio" reorganising memory through the project information windowcopying whole project across to a new project and trying to do the same I am extremely limited by my situation, since I really do not want to lose the project I have been working on for 6+ hours - restarting, deleting, reinstalling are unfortunately not options for me. The software is not: savingsaving assaving as templatebouncingdoing anything that requires any type of writing to files Has anyone seen something like this before? I would be beyond grateful if anyone has a solution that involves even just bouncing the song to mp3, and losing the logicx file. Note: I can play the project, and make changes - just no writing so files or bouncing as mp3 or other file types.
David Nahmani
Do you have enough room on your hard drive? Can you connect an external storage device and try to save there?
JakobP
Tried a reboot in Safe Mode ? Resetting NVRAM and SMC could also be worth trying...
fuzzfilth
Can you save the project to a mac-formatted (!) USB-stick ?
joemoore
Apologies for the late reply, shortly after, logic force updated and I lose all of my progress. I remade all of it, and problem solved. I have no idea what was going on, thank you all for the suggestions though.
triplets
Good to hear that you resolved it! Try to save often when you work on your projects. You have an underpowered computer running Big Sur with just 4 gigs of ram.
