apaclin2
Hey guys, a new bug occured for me recently, when I work and do nothing, smart tools all of a sudden open and close for no reason. Did anybody have this?
David Nahmani
No, I haven't experienced that (nor have I heard of that issue. Do you have any MIDI devices connected to your Mac? Turn them off and try to work without them: does the issue disappear?
apaclin2
Yes, it is the midi keyboard! Now the question is how to avoid it.
David Nahmani
it may be recognized as a control surface. You can bypass all your control surfaces, or you can edit your setup, or you can make sure the keyboard isn't in a control surface mode. What keyboard manufacturer/model is this? Are you using the keyboard as a control surface? Or only a MIDI Keyboard to play instruments?
apaclin2
Yes, I use it as a control surface as well. I deleted it there and it seems to work fine now. M-Audio Axiom 61.
David Nahmani
Ok good to hear but if you're using it as a control surface, deleting it there will most likely interfere with the control surface functionality?
apaclin2
Yeah, I know, but is there a way to know what exactly was causing it?
David Nahmani
Maybe you were in Learn mode? Open the Inspector in the Smart Controls pane to double-check.
