alexe
I had lots of CPU warnings until I changed the # of cores settings from "Auto" to "all 10 cores" in logic settings. Has anyone else had to fool with this setting? Was Logic the only program running when you changed this setting? I weirdly experienced it the other way around, I got pops and crackles when I switched to all 10 cores and all was going smoothly on "Auto". I suspect that this was because I had a bunch of smaller programs running in the background which then had to fight for resources with Logic once I had set it to all 10 cores. xgman
nothing much else running, but I didn't try any of the in between settings yet. Just weird that the auto setting had so much trouble keeping up to the point of being unusable. This shouldn't be the case on a 16" max with 64gb ram and plenty of disk space. Didn't seem to matter whether Rosetta mode or not.

I can report that even large projects run smoothly on my 16-inch M1 Max with 64 GB memory, both in native and Rosetta mode.
David Nahmani
What are you referring to? The thing that they are incompatible with rosetta, says in the first post. The first post lists the pug-ins as not supported. "Not supported" does not mean incompatible. It means only that the manufacturer does not support it officially. That happens when he has not tested it, or when he has tested it and found that it didn't work properly (sometimes only in some conditions). Ok done I added N.I. and removed Waves from not supported since v13 is listed as M1 Native. Thanks! Polyverse. Just bought Manipulator today and it works flawlessly. https://polyversemusic.com/docs/are-polyverse-plugins-compatible-with-macos-big-sur/ I'm having a hard time finding libraries that are natively M1 compatible so I really appreciate the work you're doing here. Great, you're welcome! Thanks for participating and helping build the list. I added Polyverse. Jazzmanian
Gullfoss has been running very well under Rosetta from the start. Glenn L.
IK has added Sampletank 4 to native, as well as their new Syntronik 2. facej
The update for Sampletank is available in the IK Product Manager. I just installed ST4 on my new machine yesterday, wasn't native yet, update showed up today. Works fine.

Thank you Glenn, and yes it's a little known fact that a native plug-in runs MUCH more efficiently than one under Rosetta, hence the importance of plug-ins being ported to native M1 code and not just stated as "compatible" (when really they need to be translated under Rosetta). I'm adding those to the list. The update for Sampletank is available in the IK Product Manager. I just installed ST4 on my new machine yesterday, wasn't native yet, update showed up today. Strange - that link takes me directly to the specific news article (the ?item_id=11131 part of the URL should do this). But yes, this is from July 1st so doesn't take into account the newly added SampleTank and Syntronik native support. But I mentioned it because it's a lot more official (or more up to date) than the previous links we've found.

I don't know why the ?id number isn't working for me, it just takes me to the same news page as if I didn't have the ?id number afterwards. I'll try to sort this out. pranaearth
2C audio is "mostly" compatible under Rosetta. There are some issues with preset saving, and authorization (reading from clipboard is blocked by the system). The authorization issue should be solved within 2-3 weeks of the time of this post. M1 native compatibility is being worked on, there is no ETA, because they have to rewrite their vector code. This was in a response from Denis in an email I sent him asking about Rosetta/Native compatibility.
