I have a bunch to add for the native list:

Lennar Digital

Where did you see that Sylenth1 runs Native.

Native means a universal app, Sylenth1 is still Intel only.

I have a bunch to add for the native list:

Acon Digital Verberate2

Audec

JonV Audio

Leapwing

Lennar Digital

Lynx Studio (Drivers, Aurora etc)

Tone Projects

Thank you for suggesting those, however I would need to see links to official documentation from the manufacturers stating that they are truly native?

Unfortunately, the Roland Sound Cloud Manager is still Intel based and it requires Rosetta 2 to be installed.

Sure but the installer/updater has no bearing on running the plugins natively in Logic, which is the point of this thread - not to determine whether or not an Mx user needs to install Rosetta or not. The cloud plugins should still be listed as working natively in Logic.

Sorry may have been too hasty

https://acondigital.com/news/verberate-2-2/

https://jonvaudio.com/fircomp2/

https://www.toneprojects.com/kelvin-tone-shaper.html not Unisum

All the rest are actually just supported... my bad

Great, thanks a lot for providing those. Yes unfortunately there is a lot of confusion out there as to which plug-ins are natively supported or just supported with Rosetta, and some manufacturers are happy to perpetuate the confusion when they don't provide native support but consider that their non-native version runs without any issues anyway. I'm still trying to provide a list that is as accurate as possible, so thanks for the details. :)

I've edited the list to add those.

Thanks. I find it really useful to see a list of 100% native plugs. Other threads online have everything mixed up.

There’s zero chance of me making the move until iLok, Synchro Arts, Waves and UAD are onboard but I‘ll be watching the thread like a hawk!

You're welcome, and thanks to all of you who've contributed to this list. I agree that other resources listing native plug-ins have a lot of misinformation unfortunately, so I'm happy to provide an accurate list! :)

In this case for the Roland Cloud Manager, that's not true.

The reason is, the Cloud Manager determines if you're allow to run the Universal plug-ins, so it's always running but the Cloud Manager is running in Rosetta.

The plug-ins themselves are Universal, I checked with the lipo -archs command.

I extracted the plug-ins from the pkg files and just copied the components into the plug-ins folder but the validation failed.

If the installer isn't required, they should have run but as I mentioned before, the Cloud Manager validates if you have the license to run the plug-in.

The plugins are native, and run natively under Logic, I think that counts. The cloud manager handles updates, downloads, installations and licensing, that's all - it's not the cloud manager that's running inside Logic, so whether it requires Rosetta or not isn't, in my humble opinion, a differentiator to say that the Roland Cloud plugins are not native, or that Roland's press release is lying.

It's possible that a subsequent version of Cloud manager will be native too, but it didn't stop Roland announcing via a press release that all the plugins are now native silicon compatible.

You run Logic natively, and the plugins show up and run natively. So if you are saying you don't think the Roland Cloud plugins should be listed as native, that's your prerogative - I - and Roland - disagree... :shrugs:

I'm not sure. I think there is somewhere. I know it is in the version history in my products page, and it is somewhere else, but I bought it with IK's latest group buy and checked it myself. It's universal binary. You'd think IK would make it more explicit, but I've given up trying to figure out what IK'S M.O. is.

Almost all the u-he stuff have gone native silicon now - instruments including Zebra, Diva, Repro, Hive, Ace, Bazille, the free instruments ZebraCM, Zebralette, Triple Cheese & Podolski, and FX including Twangstrom, Colour Copy, Satin, Presswerk.

There's two or three older plugins which haven't been updated yet as their new UI's and major updates are not quite ready (MFM, Uhbik, Filterscape), but they will follow as those updates get finished.

Ah sorry, I hadn't checked the list, just saw that this recent news hadn't been posted here above (Edit: It was, I just missed it... ).

I'll check first next time! Great job on this list, thanks David.

Ozinga just posted it yesterday (I thought it was a few days ago but apparently only one day). No worries, and thanks for participating, the list is the result of team work!! :)

Hi,

As of yesterday all U-he products have native Apple Silicon support. (except a few freeware not yet)

https://u-he.com/news/#the-performance-update

Click on the Download now button in your link to see all the Native plug-ins.

Download now

If you own ZebraHZ, that's also updated as well.

I've installed it on my M1 MacMini and it's working fine.

Only registered ZebraHZ users can get the link to download it.

I really like AAS Lounge Lizard and Strum. I hope they would run. Also what about Kontakt, and Arturia plugins?

You can read these companies statements about their development cycle and M1 compatibility on their websites, eg:

https://www.arturia.com/faq/utilization/compatibility-with-macos-big-sur

https://www.applied-acoustics.com/support/apple-m1-compatibility/

As you can see, AAS stuff is already on the above list and is native compatible...
