MIDI CC Data Not recording until adjusted

Hello,

I'm sure this is a simple solution, but I can't figure it out.

When I record a track using Spitfire BBCSO, I start by setting the dynamic and expression faders to my preferred levels. As I adjust the fader, dynamics and expression adjust exactly like they should. The issue comes in playback:

I've discovered that until I adjust the faders, my dynamic always plays back at 0, resulting in a a volume jump when I start adjusting. My workaround has been to go into the CC data and draw the beginning CC data back to the start of the region, but this is tedious.

Any help much appreciated!

If you haven't recorded a starting value, then Logic has no idea what the start value is - it's essentially undefined. So always record a start value at the beginning of your song, so Logic can always set the correct value you want as soon as playback starts.

My workaround has been to go into the CC data and draw the beginning CC data back to the start of the region, but this is tedious.

1. Open the Event List.

2. Click the Notes button to hide the Notes.

3. Click the first CC event to select it.

4. Press Command-C.

5. Select the Tracks area and make sure the Playhead is on 1 1 1 1.

6. Press Command-V.
