MusiquedeReve
I am looking to record two guitar amps at once. Signal chain: Guitar-->stereo delay-->Left out to Amp 1-->reactive load box-->Audio Interface XLR input 1 I -->Right out to Amp 2-->reactive load box-->Audio Interface XLR input 2 Would this be the following sequence in Logic: Create new track; Choose Audio; Input 1 Mono - Output 1 Create second new track: Choose Audio; Input 2; Mono - Output 2 My goal is the make sure the stereo signal of the stereo delay pedal is heard properly, for example, if I am using a ping-pong delay, the pings and the pongs are on the proper side Would I then be able to pan each track to the left and right, respectively, thus being able to hear the stereo delay or will Logic only record on one side for each input? Thank you and be well
des99
You can record to two mono tracks, panned left and right in Logic's mixer as you specify above, and set to output to Output 1&2 (you'll be wanting a stereo mix of your song I'm sure!), or record to one stereo track. In either case, you get the left signal from input , and the right signal from input 2, as you send it to the interface. It might be easier just to deal with one stereo file, rather than two mono ones, especially if you will be editing it. In either case, the resultant sound will be the same. Ahhhh ok, so I can record to Output 1&2 for both mono tracks and then pan them afterwards?
des99
Record from Inputs 1 and 2, yes, and pan them left and right in Logic. Input one gets recorded on one mono track, and input 2 on the second mono track.
