External Drum Machine play MIDI in Logic Pro?

Hey everyone,

I have an RD-6 with MIDI OUT cable from RD-6 hooked up to MIDI IN of Audio interface, and I have the Audio cable from RD-6 into channel 3 in Audio interface.

I can hear the RD-6 audio in Logic Pro when I play it on the drum machine itself but I want to be able to click in MIDI in Logic Pro with sounds from the RD-6.

I think i have it set up using the external instrument option in Logic?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You'll need to be specific as to what you're doing.

If your device is hooked up via MIDI *and* audio cables, then you can choose to record MIDI (not audio), or audio (not MIDI), or even both at once. MIDI and audio are completely different things, so if you can tell me what you are trying to do, and how you're doing it, I can try to help.
