Control Bar and Display (modes and functions) Greyed out

For some reason this keeps happening midway through a mix that the modes and functions are greyed out. It means I cannot select things like low latency monitoring mode as it is greyed out. When I launch a brand new it is fine until it is not and then there's no way to turn those options back on.

I'm not sure I see the problem? I don't see anything "greyed out" in your screenshot.

Are you saying that if you click the checkbox next to, say "Low Latency Mode", to put that button in the toolbar, the tick box doesn't turn on and the button doesn't appear?

Ok, so you are saying some checkboxes are off but clickable, and others are unclickable and disabled.

It's a bit more obvious from the dark mode screenshot, yes, thanks.

Do you have "Advanced Tools" checked in your audio preferences?

(Seems to now be a "Enable Complete Features" all or nothing option in 10.7.x)

Have you tried trashing your preferences, and/or running Logic in a different user account?

It seems to be a bug (as reported by others too) - unticking and then reticking "Advanced tools" will (temporarily) re-enable the checkboxes, but it will likely re-occur.

Let's hope it's fixed in the next Logic version.

Thanks bro for your fast reply 🙂 Yes I have to unticking and then reticking "Advanced tools" to make it temporarily back to work. I hope next update will fix it.

I have the same problem here, I tried to trash the preferences but it still randomly shows the problem. Did yours fix?

I found out that the issue shows up when I open a Logic project file by double clicking right on the Mac finder when Logic is not already open AND my MIDI controller is ON. If I first launch Logic and then open the project the issue is gone. Weird as hell, but the workaround works 100% of the times

I always first launch Logic and then open the project but I have this problem. Regarding the Midi Controller, they are always ON on my studio. I can try and turn all of them off and see what will be the result. I will post the result.
