Hallco
Hello. I have an audio track set up for guitar and want to use 3rd party TAL reverb/chorus plugins on it. They are stereo plugins, so they only show up in effects when I press the circle button to make the track stereo. When I do that it only sounds through the left ear of my headphones.A helper on another forum told me to try adding the gain plugin to the track. When I did this, I was able to hear it in stereo. The problem then was I had an additional Logic drummer track looping and it became mute. At the same time, another issue I had when I put the gain plugin on that audio track, I now got static on another additional audio track that I added for vocals. If I turned off the gain on the guitar audio track, I lost the stereo plugins effect, but did not have the static on the additional vocal track, so I know it is not the mic cable or something like that??? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Danny Wyatt
You don't have to change the track to stereo. Just press ALT/OPTION while clicking the slot to add the plugin. You will see the stereo option. See if that makes a difference
Hallco
Great. Thank you so much. That seems to have solved that issue. Now when I press the play button to get the drummer track sounding/looping, the audio tracks are mute? Any suggestions?
Danny Wyatt
Can you send a screenshot, animated GIF or video (uploaded to YouTube to avoid huge files here on the forum). It's easier to understand what the issue is
Hallco
Here are pics. Not really sure what you wanted to see but I included 2 pics to show the red R on the tracks themselves blink on and off. What I am trying to do is press play to get the drum track going and play/sing along with the drums before I record. The problem is when I press play, the drums start but the audio tracks have no sound. If I press the record button the audio tracks sound fine, but I do not want to record every time. Some times I want to just play along to the drum track with my audio tracks engaged and working, but not record. I hope I am making sense. Please advise. Thanks Edited March 21, 2022 by Hallco
des99
Hi Hallco - can you please use your Mac's screenshot feature, rather than taking massive high-resolution pictures of your monitor with your phone. It's command+shift+3 to save your screen as a picture.
Hallco
Sorry about that. Hopefully this is better. Thanks

Thanks Please share a screenshot of the Mixer view so we can see how things are routed. Also, if you press the i icon next to the R, you will be able to audition without recording. This also depends on your settings here: Preferences > Audio > General You have 3 options for the monitoring. Play with them and see what suits your needs.
