Hi folks,

Just wondering if someone can advise on how to get Logic to see my external Sound Library on a new machine (mac studio)?

I've read and watched various suggestions, but can't seem to get it happening.

Relocate is greyed out in the menu. Just trying to avoid having to re-download everything again.

Regards,

Matt

I think I've got it sorted, but couldn't do it with Logic.

As I also have MainStage, I just used it's Library manager to re-download the 60 odd gig again and just left it on the Macintosh HD.

Then when I opened Logic again.. it is seeing all the content, however, I still have greyed out options as per the picture above.

So not sure what's going on, but sorted.

I don't see your picture. How to attach files to your post

Unfortunately, the Apple Sound Library installation system is just.. buggy. I have performed a fresh install of macOS, Logic Pro and the entire sound library, and:

1. Some content is still grayed out and unaccessible.

2. The Library manager shows me absolutely everything is installed.

3. Clicking the download arrow next to the grayed out choices does nothing.

4. Choosing Download All Available Sounds download some packages and asks me for my password to install them, but the grayed out content stays grayed out and unacessible.

Ooops apologies David,

(Have edited my post with pic)

Yes, it's a pretty whacky system, but as per my other posts, I was able to use the manager in MainStage to sort it out (same Library as Logic).

Cheers,

Hope you're keeping well.

Matt
