Elboogie1975
I'm using Logic Pro 10.6.3 on a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro macOS Catalina 10.15.7 Only outboard gear is a NI Komplete Kontrol a25 MIDI controller. The problem that I am having is that the Stereo Out fader is now all the way at the top and fidgeting there. Shaking up and down. My master volume shakes as well. I pressed A to see the automation on tracks that I imported a sample to for a kick sound, and a snare on another track. The volume automation line is moving on those tracks despite no automation being on them. This is annoying, and if someone can tell me how to fix this issue, I will be grateful. des99
Does it happen if you disconnect the A25? Those controls get twitchy and often send spurious midi data…
Elboogie1975
It did start when I plugged in my a25. The MIDI display on it would glitch a lot, but then it stabilized when using Logic. The problem now seems to be coming from the Quick Sampler. When I open a blank session, and use Alchemy or something. Everything is fine. As soon as I drop something into QS, the faders start shaking.
des99
The problem is not coming from Quick Sampler - Quick Sampler has no mechanic to move the faders. If the problem does not happen when the A25 is disconnected, and happens when it's connected, then it's the A25 that's the source of the problem, with dodgy knobs sending spurious MIDI data to Logic, which it's responding to as designed. Elboogie1975
Yeah I wasn't implying that the quick sampler was the problem. Just that it happened when I loaded a sample into it. Since it seems to be coming from the a25, is there a known solution to the issue that I can look for?
des99
I have an A49. The knobs have always been twitchy to varying degrees - they glitch and send out MIDI data (you can see the screen glitch as it updates when knobs are twitching). Often giving the knobs a good few turns can help them settle down, but if not, you can always filter that MIDI data out from hitting Logic and just don't use the knobs. David Nahmani
is there a known solution to the issue that I can look for? Choose File > Project Settings > MIDI and make sure that "Control change message 7/10 sets Volume fader/Pan knob for channel strips" is unchecked?
