JTsunami
My Logic Pro X has multiple miscellaneous problems and I believe updating to the newest version will fix them (I am running 10.4.5). I have a lot of important projects on my computer at the moment and am also in possession of a back up hard drive I store most of my data on. Maybe I'm just not a tech guy, but I've had some random computer problems involving logic in the past that scared me so at this point I'm just a little hesitant to update, especially since logic currently is still functional just a lot less smooth for workflow. Do I have anything to worry about in updating?? Might be a silly question but I would really appreciate a thoughtful answer. Also might be worth noting my Mac is running 12.0.1 Thanks. des99
Copy your Logic app and rename it to "Logic Pro 10.4.5", then update Logic. The latest version will be installed as "Logic Pro" and you can then choose which version to run, and thus easily revert to the old version if things don't work out. No downside. polanoid
Simply make a backup of your currently installed Logic version before updating, then you can always go back if anything doesn’t run smoothly in the newest version
DanRad
I'd like to piggy back on this conversation. I too have been running ancient (10.3.3 and/or 10.4.8) versions and would like to update to 10.5.x I currently and stuck on High Sierra due to hardware issues. I can't find a place to get 10.5.x any help is appreciated.

I can't find a place to get 10.5.x You can't run 10.5.x on High Sierra, 10.5.x requires Mojave. The highest you can go on High Sierra, if you're stuck there, is 10.4.8. DanRad
Sorry, I meant Mojave
des99
If you log into the AppStore on your Mojave machine, and try to download/update Logic, does it give you 10.5.x as the last version that's supported on your system? That's what it's supposed to do...
DanRad
It's supposed to do that.. but there are no Logic updates listed. There was something I heard about "hiding" your old Logic versions. Anyone got some ideas? Much appreciated. DanRad

Go to your Purchased items and look to download it there. Also, try moving your Logic apps out of the applications directory and seeing if that triggers an update or download button. The AppStore is a bit unpredictable in this regard... Like this perhaps: Edited April 27, 2022 by des99
