keano12
Hi all, Just updated to 10.5.1 and spent weekend getting used to it. I have a few questions I hope you guys can help me with. 1. When in Quick Sampler mode I notice I can’t cross fade the beginning or endings of slices in Slice mode. Is there a way to do this? I know I can in the regular Sampler. 2. If I drag in audio file and use flex in slice mode and create my own cross fades. Is there a way to open them all in the Sampler with cuts and cross fades? When I select them all and drag them down and open in Sampler my slices are there but the actual cuts and cross fades are gone. I’m trying to find the best ways to create samples for my needs. It seems using Quick Sampler I lose crossfades. I don’t mind using flex and chopping them up but seem to lose the cross fades and have to tighten the samples up the the Sampler. thank you! ozinga
Hello No auto fade afaik but you can click the bottom arrow box of start or end locator. That reveals the fade options.
keano12
Sorry, my original post is too complicated. I can't edit it though. Actually what I meant I guess was in Quick Sampler when in Slice mode there is no way to a fade in or out for the individual slices. I know you can in the actual Sampler just not in Quick Sampler I think.
Solution ozinga Posted April 25, 2022 Solution Share Posted April 25, 2022 Yes that fade in/out values in my picture applies to each individual slice but all will have the same amount that you set there. After that you can change the instrument to Sampler (Click Quick Sampler on the channel and select Sampler instead) and your sample automatically transfers to Sampler with crossfades kept for further individual editing.

Ah I see what you are saying now. When in Q Sampler I can change the beginning and editing fades but... they affect all the slices. Not what I want but... what you said solves my issue. Get the slices close and then open in Sampler and edit the individual slices there which works. Thank you
