BrandonJ
How do I record piano Yamaha audio to logic? I want to record the different sounds of the Yamaha not the midi instruments. I am using logic on my Mac book pro. Thanks!
enossified
Create an audio track, using the MOXF USB audio connection as the input. Your screenshot shows that as Input 1 + 2. Then hit record and off you go. If you will be using either the sequencer on the MOXF or sequencing inside Logic, then you have to deal with proper MIDI connections as well. Let us know exactly what problem(s) you are having with this. Here's a link to a similar post from 2015. Here's a link to the Motifator forum about setting up the MOXF and Logic for recording. BrandonJ
Thank you for your response! I put the MOXF USB audio connection as the input and the output. When I record logic still isn't picking it up. I put the settings from the motifator forum but still no luck. Not sure where to go from here. enossified
I would look into the settings of the R and I buttons on the track. If Logic is paused but you play the MOXF from it's keys, do you see any signal on the track meters?
BrandonJ
What do those settings mean? When I play I do see the chord type.
David Nahmani
How do you monitor your Logic rig? Do you use headphones, monitors? Are these connected to an audio interface? If you do then that what you should choose as the output device in Logic's audio preferences. Then make sure that you have the following preferences set up in Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio > General:
BrandonJ
I plug the piano into a amp. if that is what you mean. This is what I see when I go to my audio preferences.

On the MOXF, what is the USB I/O mode? 2 minutes ago, BrandonJ said: Anybody willing to call? That's not the purpose of this forum, we're trying to help you now, but in turn others with the same question in the future can benefit from seeing this discussion and (hopefully) its resolution, which they'll miss if the discussion is off forum. Solution BrandonJ Posted May 2, 2022 Author Solution Share Posted May 2, 2022 Oh okay I see what you mean. I just figured it out, I changed the audio input to 3 + 4 and it worked. Thanks for everybody's help!
