guavadude
Sometimes when recording takes, take 1 becomes take 2 and the newly recorded track becomes take 1. It's inconsistent also so I'm not sure what I might be doing that is causing this. Any ideas?
simon.a.billington
I'm not sure what's going on in your case, but Logic seems to automatically number it's takes from bottom to top, leaving the most recent take "selected" as the main take. Click on the stack's disclosure arrow and see if this is consistent with what you are experiencing.

guavadude
I was on 10.5.1 for a long time. Just moved to 10.7.4 since this post and haven’t seen it happen yet. It could have been that I’d done a few takes, moved on, came back to do more takes and didn’t have the range set exactly the same. This would cause what I was experiencing. polanoid
Keep us posted if you encounter the issue again. Otherwise Apple probably fixed it.
