Dokter123
Hello Logic users… I have a problem when trying to save an edited file. Logic Pro (latest iteration) will not allow me to save a file using its original name, i.e, File.Logicx will not, when asked to save using either the keystroke options or by doing so by accessing the menu and saving by mouse click, refuses to do so, and I have to rename it (i.e. File 1.Logicx) in order to save any edits. Any idea why this is happening? Thank you. Doug
David Nahmani
Hi Doug, It could be a permission issue I suppose. You should obviously be able to save your Logic project file without having to change its name. On what drive is the project saved exactly? Dokter123
David, I am saving all my songs to a 1TB external SSD. Up until recently I had no problems of this nature. Maybe I’ll try using the internal HD that comes with the computer, instead of an external drive. Thank you. DC

Dokter123
It does seem to be. Multiple saves on an internal drive seems to work just fine. How is it though, that saving similarly, has suddenly stopped working on an external drive I’ve been using for over 3 years?
David Nahmani
How is the external SSD formatted?
