johnnytucats
I'm trying out a Platinum Samples drum MIDI pack and have an irritating issue with it. I'm using the General MIDI versions of the MIDI files. They seem to be "Type 1" MIDI files in that dragging them into Logic Pro creates TWO tracks with one region each…a Piano instrument and a Drummer track. The loop is on the drummer track and the piano region is empty. If I have an existing Drummer track and try to drag one there Logic Pro creates the two new tracks below my own Drummer track. If I keep an empty instrument track above my Drummer track and drag to that the empty region goes to the empty track and the drum MIDI goes where I want it. It's a workaround but… Is there any utility out there for macOS that can batch convert Type 1 MIDI files to Type 0?
