hecksome
Hi, So I'm trying to truly understand how to set up quantize in the region inspector pane in the upper right part of the main window (quantizing an entire region, instead of highlighting notes and quantizing them in the piano roll, etc.). There are certain tracks that I always want quantized (percussion), and some that I only occasionally want quantized (strings). My issue is, if I try to set tracks up in that way, it seems that random tracks that I didn't intend to automatically quantize have that turned on. So... am I using this the right way? Is this the intention of that function? Can you have it set so that some tracks are automatically quantized and others aren't?

There are two things you can set up using the Region inspector: settings that affect whatever region(s) is(are) currently selected, or if no regions are selected, default setting that affect any new region of that type (either MIDI or audio) that are recorded on any track. However you cannot have default settings that are different depending on the track, no: MIDI default settings or Audio defaults settings apply, respectively, to all MIDI or Audio regions recorded on any track in the project.
