koam
Hello, I want to use my MIDI controller (Electra One) to control various plugins on my aux tracks. I layout all the controls I want in the Electra app, then go into Logic and learn all the controls in Control Surfaces > Controller Assignments... everything works fine... until I add or remove a track from the project... which makes Logic change the channel strip number for the aux tracks and thus all the MIDI mappings stop working (unless I go back into Controller Assignments and update the channel strip number for all MIDI mappings). Can you make Logic freeze the channel number of aux tracks - so I can add and remove tracks from a project without messing up MIDI mappings? Or is there a better/alternative (and probably blindingly obvious đ) way of doing this that I'm missing? Many Thanks
polanoid
What do you mean by "makes Logic change the channel strip number for the aux tracks"? If I have an Aux channel and it's, say, Aux 5, it stays Aux 5, no matter how many tracks I create or delete.
Solution koam Posted May 28, 2022 Author Solution Share Posted May 28, 2022 Whenever I added or removed tracks the channel strip number in Controller Assignments was changing... which obviously messed up MIDI mappings. The solution was blindingly obvious as I expected - I just needed to change the Channel Strip type to Auxiliary in Controller Assignments.
