How to type in Controller Assignments manually?

Hi everyone,

I am using MidiShaper and have a little problem with assigning the MidiShaper CC's with Logic. I have read the manual of MidiShaper and even after that the way to connect to Logic is too complicated, too many steps have to be performed which work, but do not always work flawlessly

I was thinking to route MidiShaper plugin to Synth knobs manually in Controller assignment by manually entering all the details in Controller Assignments. When I fill in Controller assignment when 'Learn Mode' is enabled all the information is lost when I disable 'Learn Mode'
I managed to assign MidiShaper with synthknobs via contoller assignment (not by manually typing in the vaulues) and decided to copy all the information in Controller Assignments, but when I type in that information all gets lost when I deselect the 'Learn Mode' button.

This is how I do it manually:
I open any Plugin and MidiShaper. I first 'Learn' a synth knob via 'Learn Mode' and the synth Parameter appears in Controller Assignments.
In 'Control Name' it says 'No messages received yet' and I type in manually 'Learned'
In 'Midi Input Messages' I type in the precise details I copied from when I connected Midi Shaper via Contoller assignments, I type those values in the 'Midi Input Messages' area.

As I said before, when disabling 'Learn Mode' all dissappears.

My questions:
-Can I type in Manually in Controller Assignments in stead of Learning the 'Parameter' and the 'Control Name' and how would I do that?
-Is there an easy way to 'Learn' a CC so the CC appears in 'Control Name'?

In Learn mode, Logic is waiting for an incoming message to learn.

Don't do this, just simply copy an existing assignment (or learn some random assignment and exit Learn mode), then setup the parameters of the selected assignment as necessary.

Control name is just a text field for a name - you can call it whatever you want, it has no affect on anything.

Hi Des99, thanks for your reply.
I covered it! The solution was as simply as assigning a CC to my Midi Controller and learn that CC. That was all. Something it is easy to think too difficult.

Cheers!
