Stop 'Enter' key from interacting with plugin windows

Hi all, this has been a frustration for years; does anyone know if you can or can't change Logic's behavior so that pressing the Enter button to stop and reset the playhead can be set so that it does not interact with open plugin windows? I'd rather not set up a new hotkey for this, but if there's no other option I will. Many plugins won't allow you to interact with Logic directly with the Enter key when the window is open, even if you click on Logic's top bar first before hitting the key.

In any case, appreciate any help here.

If you have (for example) a text field selected in a plugin, the plugin is probably stealing the enter key for a particular purpose (to confirm text entry).

However, a plugin should pass key presses it doesn't need to Logic, so it should still work, but this is plugin dependent. You can always reassign some keys you need for important functions if necessary... have you got some examples of plugins that behave like this?

since some plugins take over, and others don't... seems to be something that would need to be fixed by those plugin developers. i have a few plugins that do that, but... just live with it; for me, anyway, not a dealbreaker.

still, perhaps reach out to the developers whose plugins are problematic...

Thanks for the help, both! The most recent plugin giving me a hassle is Liquidsonics' Cinematic Rooms. It's not a text field, and in fact most I encounter aren't text fields but on/off buttons. I guess I'll have to assign a key command specifically for resetting playback. Not sure there's a better solution than this, unfortunately...

I don't have CR, but I do have Seventh Heaven Pro and some other LS/RF products, and they don't block the enter key for me.

Edit: Actually I can reproduce this in Reverberate 3 - if you click on an on/off button, that button retains text focus, and the enter key continues to toggle that last pressed button (which might be a useful feature for some of course)

And thus the enter key is intercepted as far as Logic goes.

Have you tried reaching out to LiquidSonics? Matt is very responsive to user feedback, I'm sure he'll be happy to look at it...
