I drag an audio file from Finder into a session and a new audio track would be made in the session, but this time, it won't work. I even tried importing the audio file and nothing showed up. This never became a problem for me until now. I don't know why and I need help. It happens with converted audio files from youtube!

What if you:

  1. Create a new empty project in Logic Pro.
  2. Save the project organized as a folder, with "Audio Files" selected in the Save dialog.
  3. Drag and drop the audio file.

NOT working. And btw I cannot see this post from my computer, your forum says “The page you requested does not exist”

I just sent you an email. We've had a few issues with redirections so you may need to choose Chrome > Clear Browsing Data, then stay on the "Basic" tab and click the blue Clear Data button.

Cleared browsing data on Chrome and I can see my post now.

Then I'm not sure why you can't just drag and drop it to the bottom of your Tracks view, it works fine here.

I suppose you could first try to convert it first? Try this:

  1. Control-click the file and choose Open With > QuickTime Player.
  2. In QuickTime, choose File > Export As > Audio Only.

You should get a .m4a file. Can you import that into Logic Pro?

Ok good to hear that at least that workaround worked. Not sure why you couldn't import the mp3 straight into Logic Pro though.

It's just another bug on the iMac Pro, my friend! logic team forgot about this machine. Regards
