abookstorecowboy
I have tried to export a Logic file with about six stems several times. Each time it produces an mp3/m4a file with a weird crashing noise in the first measure. I am using Kontakt with Fluffy Audio plugins and Omnisphere and UAD plugins. Everything is authorized and paid for. After the weird crashing noise, it settles down and sounds -- okayish. Actually it doesn't sound as good as the original, and I can accept that, it is compressed, but it seems worse than that. The balance changes. Any suggestions? David Nahmani
To eliminate a variable, I would first try to export a PCM file and see if you get what you hear when you press play in Logic Pro?
abookstorecowboy
Yes, I just tried that, and it's the same effect with PCM. It happens about 3 seconds in. The sound is a slightly rough popping increase in volume, like what you might get if you were playing a Logic track and then clicked on a gain plugin. David Nahmani
Ok then you could try to solo or mute some tracks to try to pinpoint which track is creating the volume issue. Do you have any audio tracks in that project? Do you have any tempo changes?
abookstorecowboy
I just tried playing the WAV file back in Quicktime instead of Apple Music, which is what I had been using. No problems. So apparently this is caused by Apple Music. I can't imagine how.

Try disabling all playback adjustments in Apple Music?
abookstorecowboy
Thank you for this. That did solve the problem. I apologize for my late response. I had a medical problem (now resolved).
