Print MIDI with IAC without too much work

Use Keyboard Maestro to quickly print MIDI notes from MIDI FX, using IAC. All you need is a shortcut and let the macro run for you and then hit STOP!

Let me know if you find this useful and if there's something that's not working for you, improvements, etc.

If you're in the mood to read:

I've been addicted to Keyboard Maestro and if you haven't already, please do yourself a favor and get it!

So for a long time the whole IAC process to print MIDI was a bit confusing. You needed to think about the path of the MIDI, then it wasn't very logical (to me at least) which track should have the External Instrument, which one was supposed to keep the MIDI FX, etc. And since I'm all about quick, easy and simple workflows where I don't have to stop and think too much while I'm working, I went and bought MIDI Freeze. Way faster. Thing is, I've been, for the last years, trying my best to stick to as few applications, plugins, as possible. Having too many companies you rely on is, in my opinion, the recipe to headaches when the companies decide to stop selling products, or they become obsolete when it comes to your macOS, etc. So I always try to stick to Logic and its resources as much as possible (hence the IAC option).

That being said, I created this KM macro so I just select my track, place the playhead where I want, hit the shortcut, let KM do its thing and I then just have to hit STOP. It's that simple and I get to stay in the Logic environment :)
