JoshJ
Somethings happened to my icon Platform M. All the pan pots have stopped moving the Logic pans and the track names no longer show up on the LCD display. Strange because they pots still seem to be mapped perfectly in Controller Assignments. Is the easiest thing here just to delete all the default MCU assignments? Am I right in remembering these assignments will just load up again when I reconnect my Platform M? Solution des99 Posted July 8, 2022 Solution Share Posted July 8, 2022 (edited) It's probably just in a different mode, I'd guess. If you want a quick way to get back to a default state, try a "Rebuild Defaults" or failing that, quit Logic, trash your CS prefs (although back these up first if you've been making custom assignment) and restart Logic. If you don't want to do that, turn the controller off whilst in Logic, and delete all the controller assignments for that controller alone. Restart Logic just to clear it out, then switch the controller on, and it should recreate all the default controller assignments necessary for it to work and be back to a default state - pretty much as you surmise. des99
It’s in the Logic -> Control Surfaces menu…
JoshJ
Thanks for your help. I tried steps 1 & 3 of the above (didnt want to start deleting my whole CS file) but they only got the track names back up on the LCD, my pan pots still weren't working. I have to Delete the Platform M+ controller assignments then go "Control Surface > Setup > ... delete and re-install the Mackie Control" which reloaded the assignments to Controller Assignments window and got it working again. Tutorial here as a record. Its for a Platform Nano but same steps for the Platform M+: Edited July 24, 2022 by joshj

That's essentially what Rebuild Defaults should have done - it's basically re-installing a fresh set of MCU assignments and defaulting the setup back to a default condition. Anyway, you got there in the end..!
