beebeeveevee
Hi everyone. I have two vocals and I'm playing around with +12 transpose in the inspector. Both are the same vocals but different takes, sung in the same octave. When I pitch one of them up by +12 it sounds like a falsetto - quite pleasant. When I pitch the other - it comes out like a chipmunk voice. I have no idea how two similar performances can produce such a different output?!? can anybody help? thanks
David Nahmani
The type of effect and artifacts you'll get from transposing audio especially with that high amount of transposition depends highly on the original timbre of the audio. Are these two different vocal timbres, or in different ranges to start with? Or are they highly similar?

If using Flex pitch on could adjust the formant (either from the track parameter or the Piano roll editor) to correct that chipmunk effect.
