Spacetoyourface
Ok I have Logic Pro x, an M1 iPad Pro full of synth apps, and an Arturia keystep 37. I want to use my synth apps, control them with the Arturia and have the iPad send the resulting audio back to logic. My iPad has no audio output jack, just a thunderbolt port. I should be able to send midi and receive audio via this port but nothing I do will show any available outputs for the iPad in the audio midi setup on the MacBook Air. Apple was unable to help. Can anyone here help or at least explain the issue? Apple said it’s up to the synth apps to provide this architecture but that seems insane that Apple doesn’t let the iPad send audio over usb or thunderbolt after taking the headphone jack away. I am a newb so forgive me if I’ve missed something obvious. Thanks for your help. Edited July 14, 2022 by Spacetoyourface Typo
mattrixx
If your MacBook Air is an M1, you can actually load iPad synths in Logic. For example here's Sunrizer, an iPad synth running in Logic.
Atlas007
Or you could probably use something like the iRig Pro Duo (from IK Multimedia). Edited July 15, 2022 by Atlas007
