10.7.4 MIDI lag, not latency - Updated MIR3D, VEP7, Synchron Player only

Hi,

Strange behavior - not repeatable but sure seems like a prob. Happened after updating VSL products.

Not sure how to troubleshoot this. Every once in a while when opening my current project audio playback is lagging behind the screen playback. Lag. Not latency.

Not like I've seen latency anyways - it is a noticeable lag. Play a key on the keyboard - a beat later it sounds.

What I do to fix it: Quit everything. Open up VEP7, load the saved project or instance, loaded on second server too. Make sure MIR3D is closed.

Open the project by choosing it from the Logic popup [control-click shows popup list of recents]

Let that open. All things play normal. Somewhere, somehow along the way it quits working.

I have not tried rolling back the previous versions - but I can reboot into BigSir - no lag.

I am on Monterey 12.4 - Logic 10.7.4 The latest VEP7-MIR3D-Synchron layers from the July updates just recently.

Yes, I have tried turning on - off the latency mode button - that works, but obviously disables plugins, so it's useless - I've never had to use low latency mode previously ever, so this is not related to that since I can get it to work.

I'm resetting all prefs to factory and giving that a try next - but shutting down and restarting int hat order usually works.

Baffled.
