Set single audio device for Logic?

Is there a way to set a single audio device for Logic?

Whenever I use Logic it's with my external audio interface which gets turned off and on once per day.

Logic forces a prompt each time it's powered on/off and unloads/reloads plugins. I've been living with this for a decade or so, but it's pretty annoying!

Quit Logic, then turn off your audio interface.

I'm not sure why you'd want to turn off your audio interface with Logic still running, but if you do, then Logic has to choose a different interface now the one it was using has gone away, and it needs to reload the audio engine to do this, resulting in the behaviour you see.

Alternatively, you could set Logic to use your "System setting" audio device, and set your Mac's system to output audio to the interface. When the interface goes away, the system switches to internal audio, but Logic still sees the same device so doesn't reload it's engine.
