varol
I have some old midi projects for some reason I have recorded same note twice (I was using a workstation back then) If I click and delete one of the notes the underlying note reveals but if I select all the notes and hit delete it deletes everything. I thought delete duplicates function is for this purpose but no, I try to use it in piano roll and event window but it doesn't work. (I hit cmd+a and option+d and try to use it under edit menu but nothing happens)
paulcristo
Are the notes exactly the same length and at the exact same starting point? If not, they may not be registering as duplicates to Logic. I don't know what the threshold is. If you want to send a MIDI/Logic file of the offending session, I can try it on my end.

Have you looked at them in the event list? You can easily spot the difference there (post a screenshot of the event list if you want people on the forum to have a look) Edited July 30, 2022 by polanoid

You could: Quantize Delete duplicate Turn off Quantize
Atlas007
Personally, I think the easiest approach would be , as hinted by @polanoid, to use the Event List editor. The advantage for same is that one could audition which note is the best to keep, before deleting the other(s), by simply muting them alternately.
