Matt music
Dear community, Here's my problem : my pitch bend wheel sends data to the software (checked in the MIDI environnement) but I still can't make it works. The modulation wheel works properly and the pitch bend wheel works properly in FlStudio. I've already tried to troubleshoot myself with this topic but it didn't help me : Do you guys have any idea to solve my issue ? Musical greetings from France. Atlas007
Bonjour Mattéo! What are your system specs? Especially Logic (precise) version? BTW, does the MIDI channel received from the pitchwheel corresponds to the plugin’s MIDI channel and the track parameter’s one as well? des99
What software instrument are you trying to play? Some of them don't respond to pitch bend messages... (eg pianos, organs and so on) Edited August 2, 2022 by des99

Can you see the pitch bend data being recorded in Logic?

Hi David, first thanks for replying. I can indeed see the pitch bend data while I'm recording. Here is a screenshot of the data

The default bend range is set to 2 semitones on that patch, and pitch bend works for me here. If you can see recorded pitch bend that means your controller is sending it, and Logic is receiving it ok. Set Mono Mode in the extended parameters at the bottom of RetroSynth to Off, just in case you're sending it on a different channel in mono mode... Bonjour Atlas merci pour votre réponse, I have a Macbook Air M1 with 8Go of RAM. My logic pro version is 10.7.2. To answer your question yes the data shown in the MIDI channel, track parameter and the plugin's MIDI channel are similar.

I switched the Mono Mode to Off and nothing has change. It's really strange because the modulation wheel works perfectly and the pitch bend wheel never worked actually 😕

I've checked the Event List and the data are well recorded on the good MIDI Channel. Here is a screenshot of a modulation action and then a pitch bend action. Is "Timbre" is the good function for pitch bending ?

des99
You're sending all those CCs on MIDI channel 16 for some reason. Set your master keyboard to transmit on MIDI channel 1 (both keys, and controllers if they can be set separately), and see whether that fixes your issue... (And as David says, that's not pitch bend data - so are you *sure* it's being recorded?) Edited August 6, 2022 by des99
