liksvette
Screen Recording 2022-08-04 at 21.35.00.mp4 Why can't I trim the start of the comp, only the end? What's going on here?
David Nahmani
The beginning of a take folder cannot be to the right of the beginning of one of the takes it contains. An easy workaround: Marquee-drag to select the section you want to delete from the beginning of your take folder, then press delete on your keyboard. Otherwise: Choose Logic Pro > Preferences > Advanced. Select Enabled Complete Features. Click the Quick Swipe Comp mode button at the top of the take folder to go into edit mode. Open the take folder. Select all the takes inside the take folder and resize them by dragging their beginning toward the right. Close the take folder. Resize the take folder.
dmitch57
Another way is to trim after you flatten the take folder. Then you have regular old audio region(s) that you can trim shorter and - usually, if it's not the first take - longer.
