Spatial Audio: Head Tracking greyed out?

I’m mixing a song in Dolby Atmos. It sounds great on my 5.1 system. But I want to check the mix on my Airpods Pro.

Apple Renderer is available, but head tracking is greyed out. I’ve read several solutions including turning off mono in accessibility, making sure 32 bit is selected in Audio Midi Setup, making sure the input is not set to Airpods, and nothing works. Works fine in Apple Music.

Any ideas?

Is head tracking working for you?

Latest Logic, Mac OS, etc. M1 Max mbp.

No ideas on this one?

I’ve been updating and restarting and searching the net all day. There seem to be several others that experience this problem but no solutions.

Weird stuff. I definitely have all the correct gear, and updates. But head tracking is greyed out no matter what.
